Collage with Silkscreen Monoprint and Vintage, 120 year old paper, mounted on linen canvas and framed in a float frame, 59cm x 42cm

In this series of collage pieces I have used the reverse of some beautiful, 120 year old book endpapers which have a vintage print on the front (you can see sections of this used in small areas) but the reverse has this wonderful ‘ghost’ image show-through and yellowed, foxed edges. I love how the history embedded in the papers adds to the story of this piece, and coupled with sections of my silkscreened monoprints and my Mum’s old notebook diary pages it enhances the meaning behind the work.
